I am proud to announce that as of exactly 7pm on July 1 all the structural steel for the top floor of UNAVERZ is now in place! Woot!
I feel like I have been on a journey similar to climbing a mountain. It is ony after you come down from the peak that you actually hear all those comments people were saying about how it is a foolish venture fraught with peril. Pfft! This was the most fun I have had in YEARS!!
I want to thank my fellow Musketeers. First and foremost there is Jeff (Aramis). I have been constantly amazed at your skill, attention to detail and patience. You have taught each of us with grace and kindness that belies just how important all of this is to you. You are a true artist and I love working alongside you. This entire project has been made possible by your knowledge and participation.
d’Artagnan (Sean) really is a ‘poor young nobleman’ and one of the hardest workers I have ever had the pleasure to build with. It seems like you know how to do everything or quickly learn. UNAVERZ is very happy you have built her bones.
Sheri (Porthos) has lived up to her top billing as Welderwoman – as fitting a name as has ever been bestowed. Your dedication and loyalty to UNAVERZ is simply amazing. You have kept us all on track and focused on the end goal while ensuring our welds are tip top and safety is considered at every stage.
As Athos and main driver of this project I want to offer a heart felt thank you to the Builders of UNAVERZ. I do believe the four of us welded everything in place. UNAVERZ is a stunning testiment to the ability for happy people to have fun while learning new skills and creating amazing public art that will be given away for free.
