Sean and I set to work finishing the welding together of the undercarriage gusset assemblies (ice cream sandwiches). It took a lot more work than we thought and a whole lot more flux-core wire. Each assembly took almost 3/4 of a pound. We had to stop when we ran out.

We have turned a major corner on our project and we can not officially state that demolition of the original truck is complete. We have moved on to the actual building of UNAVERZ!

We ordered a flat stock of 20′ x 12″ x 1/4″ steel from Bayshore Metals. It was delivered today. Buck loaned us a couple of saws designed to cut steel and we set to making our undercarriage gussets.
